The story of my grandmother's arrival in New York by boat from Italy in 1957, with her two children, is a true inspiration. Despite not knowing any English and facing numerous challenges, she was able to create a new life for her family in a foreign land. Her strength and determination to provide a better future for her children serve as a reminder of the limitless potential of the human spirit. Her story inspires me to work hard and persevere, even in the face of adversity.
